The German submarine U-70 was sunk south-east of Iceland, in position 60.15N, 14.00W, by British corvettes HMS Camellia and HMS Arbutus on convoy OB.293 outbound from Liverpool.

The circumstances of the loss of U-47 300 miles SSE of Iceland have never been clarified but the corvettes Camellia and Arbutus are thought to have taken part in actions against this U-Boat
Sold on 9 August 1946.
Became the Dutch merchant vessel Ned Mij voor de Walvisvaart then converted to the whale catcher Hetty W. Vinkle in 1948. Broken up at Cape Town in 1965.
