The German submarine U-631 was sunk in the North Atlantic south-east of Cape Farewell, Greenland, in position 58.13N, 32.29W, by depth charges from the British corvette HMS Sunflower. (see map)
29 Oct, 1943
The German submarine U-282 was sunk south-east of Greenland, in position 55.28N, 31.57W, by depth charges from the British destroyers HMS Vidette and HMS Duncan and the British corvette HMS Sunflower. (see map)
Scrapped at Hayle in August 1947.

Sunflower awaiting her fate at the breakers in Hayle, Cornwall in 1947. She displays the 1944 pennant number K524 which she adopted after refit in Belfast. I have no idea why the pennant was changed from K41, if you know please post in this thread.
